Aam Aadmi Party has defended party convenor Arvind Kejriwal's remarks against media. Briefing reporters in New Delhi today, party spokesman Sanjay Singh said a part of media houses is running sponsored news to favor or demean political parties.
Demanding investigation into paid news and false surveys conducted by media houses he said, party is collecting facts in the case and will lodge complaint with the Election Commission.
Our correspondent reports, Arvind Kejriwal while talking at a fund-raising dinner in Nagpur yesterday alleged that media has been bought with heavy amounts for paid news to promote BJP's Prime Ministerial nominee Narendra Modi.
Reacting to Mr Kejriwal's remarks, BJP spokesperson Ravi Shankar Prasad called his comment regrettable and condemnable. Mr Prasad said if media has the right to promote AAP, it has the also right to criticise them.
