Bollywood actor Aamir Khan today said that he and his team did thorough research before the telecast of a episode of his TV show Satyamev Jayate that spoke about malpractices in the medical field.

Talking to media persons after his presentation on the issue before Parliamentary Standing Committee on Commerce in New Delhi today, he said it will be a win- win situation for both, the Multinational Pharmaceutical companies and the poor people of the country,if these companies make quality drugs in big quantity and sell them at cheaper prices. Mr. Khan appreciated the Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu government for providing generic drugs at very low cost.

The Panel Chairman and Rajya Sabha MP Shanta Kumar said that following the telecast of the episode of the show, which talked about malpractices in the medical field, he has decided to have the actor on board for a discussion on the issue.
