Yuva Sena Chief Aaditya Thackeray has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeking his intervention to postpone all academic activities in view of the rising COVID numbers.<br />''<br />''Mr Thackeray, who is also Maharashtra's Environment and Tourism Minister, has said that it is neither practical nor feasible to conduct exams, be it through physical or online mode, for professional courses as there are no transport facilities in place. He added that considering the joint family system, infection to a single student, teacher or non-teaching staff may lead to a further spike in cases and even fatality rate.<br />''<br />''The Shiv Sena scion has further said that entrance exams like JEE should also be postponed and the academic calendar be shifted from June 2020 to January 2021.<br />
