Minister of Electronics and Information Technology Ravi Shankar Prasad today said that Aadhaar data is completely safe and secure. Addressing the valedictory session of UN- Financial Inclusion Conclave in New Delhi, Mr Prasad said, the data is kept in encrypted form.<br/><br/>He said, the government has given a legislative backing to Aadhaar and made the privacy law stringent. Mr Prasad said, the government is promoting digital payment in a big way as digital inclusion is a part of financial inclusion.He said, the government wants not only to simply digitize India but also create a technology which is transformative and empowers India as well as the people of the country.<br/><br/>The Minister said, the technology must be affordable, inclusive and developmental for digital inclusion. He said, the digital India should ensure digital delivery of services and empowerment of people. Mr Prasad said, the government is going to make six crore families of the country as digitally literate.
