<span style="color: #222222;">Maharashtra Cultural Affairs Minister Amit Deshmukh today said a proposal to give industry status to the film and entertainment sector would be placed before the State cabinet soon. He added that movies (short films/movies screened on OTT media) and the entertainment sector have expanded significantly and need to be given industry status. He said the Department of Cultural Affairs is working on a policy for films, serials, OTTs, theatre, folk art, documentaries and advertisements. He said it will also help small and medium enterprises to get concessions and strengthen the economy.</span><br />''
