Defence Minister A K Antony has asked the armed forces to keep a close watch on the situation in the Afghanistan-Pakistan region. Addressing the Unified Commanders' Conference in New Delhi yesterday, he said any development in the Afghanistan-Pakistan region will have strategic and security implications for India.

Describing cyber crime as another dimension in the security architecture, Mr Antony asked the top commanders of all the three services, to put in place Standard Operating Procedures to counter cyber security threats.
