The First-batch candidates selected under the Prime Minister’s Rural Development Fellow Scheme, intended to assist Collectors of the Maoist-affected districts, will undergo training in Hyderabad from today.As many as 156 post-graduates are being deployed in 78 Maoist-affected districts across the country after a nine-week training programme.This Fellow Scheme will coordinate and evaluate the development programmes being implemented in the Maoist-affected regions, where the Integrated Action Plan is in force. Union Rural Development Minister Jairam Ramesh, who conceptualised this scheme during last September, will set the tone for the nine-week long training.
