<span style="color: #222222;">In Mizoram, as part of the people coming forward in making and distributing the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), a new initiative has come up to make face shields in the fight against COVID-19.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">A father-son duo started this initiative from their 'Project Handmade Craft', and in the first week, they made 300 face shields. These face shields have been supplied to Banks, Zoram Medical College, Aizawl Civil Hospital and private practicing doctors at the rate of Rs. 300 each face shield.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">In fact, P.C. Zothankima and his son P.C. Lalrintluanga, a Science Consultant at the state council of education research and training (SCERT), were encouraged by an online PPE Challenge. The Challenge was organised by the state Planning and Programme Implementation Department to meet the demand of PPE.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Councillor of Aizawl Municipal Council K. Romawia has also volunteered to pay for all the necessary equipment.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">P.C. Lalrintluanga, the son of the owner of 'Project Handmade Craft' said in adherence to the WHO standard, polyglass is used for the main face and sunboard at the top to fix the shield at the head.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He further said that they have presently employed 2-3 youths for the project for the Project allows for 1000 face shields. However, they are hoping that this will be an ongoing project as more orders are coming in from different corners.</span><br />
