The 9th Edition of Ladakh Marathon concluded with hundreds of racers participating in Full, Half, and 10.5 KM Marathons in Leh town on Sunday.<br />'' <br />'' Men's full marathon was dominated by the Indian Army's Ladakh Scouts while Police made the podium finish in the Half Marathon. In the Female section, Ladakh girls have claimed the first three positions in both full and half marathons.<br />'' <br />'' Nawang Tsering completed a Full Marathon of 42.195 KMs, in 2.41.42 hours, while Jigmet Namgial finished second and Shabir Hussain third. In the Female category of the full marathon, Jigmet Dolma,  Diskit Dolma and Tsetan Dolkar stood in the first three positions.<br />'' <br />'' In the 21.097 KM Half Marathon, Hans Raj of JK Police finished first. In the Girls' section, Tashi Ladol stood first.<br />'' Ladakh Additional Director General of Police SS Khandare, UT Sports Secretary Ravinder Kumar, and LAHDC Deputy Chairman Tsering Anghchuk presented medals to the winners.<br />'' <br />'' Earlier in the morning, Ladakh Lieutenant Governor RK Mathur flagged off the races from Cheeta Chowk on Leh-Manali National Highway.  Runners from 20 foreign countries and from all 29 States and Union Territories of the country have participated in the Ladakh Marathon. 122 KM Silk Route Ultra and 72 KM Khardung Challenge were completed on the 9th of this month.<br />'' <br />'' Race Director Chewang Motup in collaboration with the UT Administration, Leh Police, Leh Hill Council, and Tourism Department has made extensive arrangements for the successful conduct of one of the Highest Marathons in the world recognised by Abbott World Marathon Majors.
