The 9th edition of four-day Defence Expo will begin in Goa on 28th of this month. Briefing media in New Delhi, Secretary Defence Production A K Gupta said, more than one thousand companies are participating. The maximum number of participating companies will be from the United States. He said, for the first time there will be live demo on the capability of indigenous companies. Participants will be provided with the platform to interact with each other and make future collaboration. <br/><br/>The Defence Expo will focus on Make in India programme of the NDA government. Pakistan has not been invited for Defence Expo whereas there is no confirmation from China for its participation. India will be displaying its defence capabilities during the exhibition.<br/><br/>Replying to a query, Wing Commander M D Singh said, there is no ban on participation of blacklisted companies as it is a commercial expo. Finmeccanica, a blacklisted company, has applied to participate.
