<span style="color: #222222;">Minister of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Manuskh Mandaviya today told Lok Sabha that the Centre has not increased price of Urea by a single penny for the last seven and a half years.<br />''<br />''Replying to a question, &nbsp;Mr. Mandaviya said, 98.28 Lakh Metric Tonnes of Urea worth 2580.27 million US dollars was imported in 2020-21.<br />''<br />''He said, the import of P and K fertilizers comes under Open General License wherein the companies import the fertilizers as per their commercial consideration and market presence. &nbsp;<br />''&nbsp;<br />''The Minister also informed the House that there is no shortage of fertilizer in the country. However, he said that in between the season, some states highlighted a shortfall of DAP fertilizer, particularly in a few districts.<br />''<br />''Mr. Mandaviya said, after receiving requests from the state governments, DAP rakes were moved to meet the requirement.<br />''<br />''He said, in order to mitigate the price rise of raw materials and finished P and K fertilizers the commodity available at affordable prices to farmers, the subsidy has been increased from 20,720 crore rupees to 64,150 crore rupees during the financial year.</span><br />
