In Pakistan, shoot-at-sight orders have been issued in Karachi and 1,000 additional paramilitary troops deployed as violence continued to paralyse the country's financial capital, leaving nearly 95 people dead in the last four days.Interior Minister Rehman Malik said that security forces had been given orders to shoot gunmen on sight to meet the challenge posed by indiscriminate firing in many parts of the city, following political and ethnic clashes.Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has appealed to the people to maintain peace and security in Karachi.
