As many as 93 selection grade constables were promoted to the rank of head constables by the Jammu and Kashmir police. The order was approved by the department's promotion committee. A police spokesman said in Srinagar that the promotion orders were issued yesterday by the Inspector General of Police Kashmir S M Sahai.
