Minister for Housing and Urban Development M Venkaiah Naidu has asked Housing and Urban Development Corporation, HUDCO to target at least 50 thousand beneficiaries each under Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme for Economically Weaker Section, Low Income Group and Middle Income Group to realize the vision of Housing for All. <br/><br/>Mr Naidu was addressing the 47th foundation day of HUDCO in New Delhi today. Expressing happiness, Mr Naidu said that the corporation has assisted construction of more than 67 lakh sanitation units and 2200 infrastructure schemes improving living conditions of people.<br/><br/> He said, it is a commendable effort that 92 per cent of over 16 million residential units constructed with assistance from HUDCO in last 47 years has benefited Economically Weaker Section and the Middle Income Group. The Minister also stressed the need for maintaining discipline and better time management for the welfare of people. <br/><br/>On the occasion, Mr Naidu released various publications brought out by HUDCO in the areas of Housing and Urban Infrastructure sectors. He also gave awards to Urban Local Bodies, Corporations, Banks, Architects for their best practices and outstanding performances in the field of housing and infrastructure.
