Government today said that 91 Jan Aushadhi Kendras have been opened in Jammu and Kashmir and three in Ladakh region between January and July this year.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''Chemical and Fertilizer Ministry said, Bureau of Pharma PSUs of&nbsp; India, BPPI has opened these Jan Aushadhi Kendras with an aim of making available quality generic medicines at an affordable price to the residents of these regions.&nbsp;<br />''&nbsp;<br />''The total sales in last one year has crossed four crore 39 lakh&nbsp; rupees in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh which led to total savings of&nbsp; 31 crore rupees for residents of this area.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''The Ministry said, Government of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh have proposed to open 73 new Jan Aushadhi Kendras for which locations have already been identified.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''BPPI have supplied over one crore 56 lakh sanitary pads to Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">National Health Mission has been distributing these pads free of cost to young girls and women as a part of Rashtriya Kishore Swasthya Karyakram.</span><br />
