Nine new national records were created in the Kerala State School Athletic meet that ended at Kochi today. In the senior girls category international athlete P.U. Chitra broke her own national records in 1500 meters race and 3000 meters race. In the senior boys category, M.N. Nazimuddin, three time winner of the national title in 110 meter hurdles broke his own national record. All together, four national records each in senior category and junior category and one in sub junior category was created in the four day Kerala State Athletic Meet.
