In Orissa, 9 Maoists were killed and several injured in a gun battle between the Security Forces and the red ultras, early this morning at Humajharan in Kashipur Block, about 70 K.M at Rayagada. The incidence took place when the security forces of Odisha state armed police were carrying out combing operation near bordering area of Kalyan Singhpur block in this District. The Security Forces have recovered large number of arms and ammunitions from the spot. Some Security personnel are also reported to have injured in the gun battle.
