9 LeT cadres named in NIA charge sheet in Udhampur terror case

The National Investigation Agency has named nine Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) cadres in a charge sheet for their involvement in last year's terror attack case at Udhampur in Jammu and Kashmir. Two Pakistani terrorists of LeT had attacked a BSF convoy in Udhampur on 5th August. The attack resulted in the death of two BSF personnel while 13 others were injured. The case was subsequently transferred to NIA for investigation. <br/><br/>The NIA in a press statement, said that the charge sheet has been filed against the accused Mohammed Naveed alias Usman, Khursheed Ahmed Bhat alias Khursheed Alam Bhat and seven others. The charge sheet has been filed under various provisions of the Ranbir Penal Code, Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, Foreigners' Act and the Explosive Act. The NIA also claimed that the investigation has not only unearthed the specific conspiracy behind the terrorist attack in Udhampur but also the larger conspiracy of the LeT.
