<span style="color: #222222;">Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh today said till date the state has sent 9 lakh 82 thousand migrant labourers to various states. Deshmukh said the state made special arrangements to send these migrant labourers who were stranded in the state especially in Mumbai due to the lockdown. Deshmukh said atleast 696 special trains have run to transport these migrant labourers to various states UP, Bihar, Jharkhand, Chattisgarh, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Rajasthan and Karnataka.<br />''<br />''Meanwhile, in the wake of the Corona virus outbreak for the convenience of farmers, various farmers' groups in the state are working to deliver agricultural inputs directly to their field for the coming season.<br />''<br />''Due to the current lockdown situation in all parts of the country, it is difficult for farmers to reach the agricultural service centers. In order to avoid congestion at the agricultural centers, farmers' groups in various parts of Maharashtra are working to deliver agricultural inputs directly to the field for the coming season.Setting an example in this regard, some farmers' groups set up in Akola district under the guidance of Atma Project Director Mohan Wagh of Department of Agriculture have become the focal point of this innovative concept. These group are now developing a chain of agricultural production and sales. So far, 253 farmer groups in the district have delivered 2,733 tonnes of fertilizers worth Rs. 4 crore 51 lakh to 11,262 farmers at their homes and 8,927 quintals of seeds worth Rs.65 lakhs has reached to the farmers. Also a total of 11 crore 17 lakh rupees of agricultural inputs have been delivered directly to the farm land.
