In Jammu and Kashmir, nine people including a Lt. Colonel of the Indian army were killed in two terror attacks in Kathua and Samba districts today. In the first incident, heavily-armed militants dressed in army fatigues attacked Hiranagar police station in Kathua around 6.45 AM, killing 6 people. They include 4 policemen and two civilians. The same group of militants later targetted an army camp in nearby Samba, killing three army men including a Lt. Colonel. DIG Police Jammu-Kathua Range Shakil Beig said, two militants were killed in the Samba army camp. The gun battle between the militants and security personnel continued, when reports last came in. A massive search operation has been launched in the entire area along the Jammu-Pathankot National Highway.
