In Tamil Nadu, nine persons were killed today in a fire accident in a private Fireworks factory in Olugacheri near Kumbakonam. 15 persons were injured and they have been admitted to Kumbakonam Government Hospital.

Police said, all the victims were workers in the factory.Thanjavur District Collector Subbayyan, Superintendent of Police Dharmaraj visited the accident site. Police have registered a case.
