9 killed as truck rams auto-rickshaws in Bihar

In Bihar, nine people were killed and 10 others injured when a truck rammed into two autorickshaws near Bodh Gaya International Airport in Gaya today. City Superintendent of Police,Ratna Mani Sanjay said,the mishap occurred as the speeding truck lost control and hit the autorickshaws carrying passengers. He said, the injured were admitted to Anugrah Narayan Singh Medical College-cum-Hospital where the condition of two of them was stated to be serious. The ill-fated autorickshaws were carrying passengersto Magadh University.Six victims have been identified . Sanjay said, three of them were employees of the university. Meanwhile, official sources said,the Magadh University authorities have postponed the raising day function of the varsity tomorrow in which Governor Devanand Konwar was slated to be the chiefguest.
