In Bihar, nine persons were killed and two others injured in a road accident at Sursarai area of Nalanda district today. According to police officials, accident occurred on Patna-Ranchi road, when a tempo fell into river Panchanse after being hit by a truck. The injured were admitted in the nearby Sadar hospital. Bihar Sharif Deputy Superintendent of Police Sadar Shams Afroz said that all the deceased, most of them labourers were travelling in the tempo. He said that it was coming to district headquarters town of Biharsharif from Paithma village of Nalanda district. The truck driver managed to flee from the scene, he added.
