Home Secretary R K Singh has said that nine people have been killed in a blast outside the Delhi High Court. He told reporters that 40 others have suffered injuries in the blast. The condition of some of injured is said to be serious.AIR Correspondent reports from the blast site that it occurred outside gate no 5.of the High Court complex as there was heavy rush of visitors seeking entry into the premises of the court complex. Secretary Internal security U K Bansal said that it is too early to draw any conclusion on the nature of the blast as the investigations are on.Police has cordoned off the blast site and have asked people to clear the area. Top officials of Delhi police including Special Commissioner Dharmendra Kumar and Joint Commissioner of Special Cell, R S Krishnaiah are on the spot to supervise the investigations.According to police, the blast occured due to an explosive material kept in a brief case. Injured persons have been rushed to AIIMS, Safdarjung Hospital and Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital. Ambulances and Fire tenders have been rushed to the blast site.”The Home Minister held a high level meeting and took stock of the situation in the wake of the blast.”
