Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu inaugurated the 8th edition of the Theatre Olympics at Lal Quila in the national capital Saturday evening. <br/><br/>Speaking on the occasion, Mr Naidu said, art is a mirror of the society and is reflection of the lives of people. <br/><br/>He said, it is a creative transformation of the stories of ordinary lives into an extraordinary art form. <br/><br/>Vice President said, peace and harmony should be reflected in all forms of art and creativity. <br/><br/>He said, all arts and thoughts must move in one direction to bring in universal brotherhood. <br/><br/>Speaking on the occasion, Cultural Minister Mahesh Sharma said, it is for the first time that India is hosting the event and more than 25,000 foreign artists are participating in it. <br/><br/>The 51-day long nationwide theatre extravaganza will be held in 17 cities, including Ahmedabad, Bhopal, Patna, Kolkata, Mumbai, Guwahati and Jammu. <br/><br/>The theme of the festival is – "Flag of Friendship". The event will continue till 8th of April.
