The 8th Asia-Europe conference on ‘Management of Migratory flows" began at Canacona in South Goa on Tuesday. Inaugurating the two day conference Union Minister for overseas Indian Affairs Shri Vayalar Ravi said in a globally integrated world, labour mobility must be seen as a natural corollary to the cross border movement of investment and trade. He said we must convert the crisis into an opportunity by enhancing international cooperation on migration.<br/><br/> The Union Minister said the question is no longer whether to allow migration but indeed how to manage migration effectively to enhance its positive effects on developments and mitigate the negative. The Goa Chief Minister Mr. Digambar Kamat who attended the function said this conference will serve as an opportunity to develop communication and dialogue between Europe and Asia.<br/><br/>AIR correspondent reports the two day conference is being attended by more than 65 delegates representing 32 countries.
