In Odisha, at least 88 persons have reportedly died so far due to sunstroke even as severe heat wave conditions continue to affect the entire State, throwing life out of gear. However, the state's revenue and disaster management department has confirmed only 21 deaths due to sunstroke.Many parts of western Odisha are boiling with day temperature crossing 45 degree Celsius. According to Bhubaneswar Met office, the heat wave in interior Odisha will continue to affect normal life for next 3 days. However, there will be a drop of temperature in coastal parts of the state due to formation of cyclonic strom over Bay of Bengal. Due to continued heat wave conditions, the people of Odisha are experiencing harrowing times with the situation being more precipitated by frequent undeclared power cuts and scarcity of drinking water.
