<span style="color: #222222;">The Centre on Thursday informed that 86 per cent of funds have been utilised and 69 per cent of projects completed under Smart City Mission. In a written reply, Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs Kaushal Kishore, informed Lok Sabha that under this Mission, work orders for 7,799 projects had been issued, of which 5,399 projects have been completed until 3rd March 2023. <br />''<br />''The Minister said, under Smart City Mission, the Centre and State have jointly released 69,685 crore rupees, of which 59,791 crore rupees have been utilised. The Minister said, the implementation period of the Smart City Mission had been extended upto June 2023, and all smart cities are expected to complete their projects within the stipulated time. The Centre launched Smart City Mission on 25 June 2015. One hundred smart cities were selected through four rounds of competition from January 2016 to June 2016.</span><br />
