In West Bengal, 85 per cent polling was recorded in five Municipalities and one notified area authority. The Secretary of the State Election Commission, Mr. Tapash Roy told in Kolkata Sunday evening that election passed off peacefully barring minor stray incidents. The election was held in Durgapur, Nalhati, Panskura, Haldia, Dhupguri and Coopers Camp notified area authority. The counting of votes will take place on next Tuesday.
