Eight hundred forty one police and paramilitary personnel have been decorated with Presidents' Police Medals and other categories of service medals.<br/><br/>A Home Ministry statement said President's Police Medals for Gallantry (PPMG) have been awarded to three personnel, Police Medals for Gallantry (PMG) to 121 personnel, President's Police Medals for distinguished service to 89 officials and for meritorious service to 628 personnel.<br/><br/>Jawans and officers of Jammu and Kashmir police have received a maximum of 35 gallantry medals followed by CRPF which got 24 for the dare-devil exploits of its personnel in various theaters of internal security.
