In Uttar Pradesh, at least eighty thousand bottles of fake cold drinks have been seized in Allahabad in a raid by district Food and Drug department team last night .The city magistrate of Allahabad Harishchandra told AIR that the raid was conducted after the department got some clue about selling of dubious cold drinks in open market .The Food and Drug department team lead by city magistrate sealed one godown situated under Nani police station area .The team has found about eighty thousand bottles of different brand of popular cold drinks and seized the godown. The city magistrate said no batch numbers and manufacturing date are printed on the bottles hence it seems these cold drink bottles are fake. The police has detained the godown manager and further inquiry is on to ascertain the truth.
