In Uttar Pradesh about 80 percent votes were cast today in the first phase of three tier Panchayat elections. Votes were cast in 223 blocks spread over in most of the district. Quoting official sources, our Lucknow correspondent reports two persons were killed in Moradabad and one person at Kannauj districts in firing.In Allahabad district several injured when a crude bomb exploded under Chaka block area. As per reports available in Farrukhabad district at few poling booths miscreants put water in ballot boxes during polling.Meanwhile most of the opposition parties in the state alleged ruling BSP for misusing government machinery in favour its favoured candidates in elections. Panchayat elections are being held in the held without political parties affiliations in four phases in the state.
