8 years of Seva: Total of 78 projects worth about Rs 5700 crore sanctioned under Swadesh Darshan project

The development of Cultural Sites is at the forefront of Modi government’s vision of celebrating and affirming India’s unbroken cultural heritage.<br />” <br />” The construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya has been initiated and the holy city is being developed as a spiritual centre, a global tourism destination, and a sustainable smart city.<br />” <br />” Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the construction of temple in Ayodhya is a historic event.<br />” <br />” Renovation of Shri Somnath Temple, redevelopment of Shri Kedarnath Dham, rejuvenation of Kashi Vishwanath Dham and renovation of Shri Ujjain Mahakal Temple Corridor can be considered only a beginning in the restoration of historical places of the nation by Modi Government. Modi government is committed to protect diversity through the Swadesh Darshan project, which was launched in 2015.<br />” <br />” Under this scheme, development of 15 themed circuits has been started in India. These include the Buddhist Circuit, Ramayana Circuit, Krishna Circuit, Spiritual Circuit, Tribal Circuit, Heritage Circuit, Tirthankar Circuit, and Sufi Circuit.<br />” <br />”A total of 78 projects worth about Rs 5700 crore have been sanctioned for the development of these circuits since the start of the scheme.
