Eight persons died when a cracker manufacturing unit caught fire near Shornur in Palakkad in Kerala Tuesday evening.Three persons have been injured. The mishap occurred near the railway track. Cause of the fire is not known. Kerala Minister for electricity Mr A K Balan has rushed to the accident site. Fire force, Police and local people are engaged in the rescue work.
