In Afghanistan, 8 people were killed and 22 injured in a suicide bombing near the US embassy in Kabul today. Deputy spokesman for the Interior Ministry said, the blast hit the NATO coalition convoy of armored personnel carriers. <br/><br/>Security officials said the blast destroyed a number of civilian vehicles nearby. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack. The attack follows a threat by Taliban to target foreign forces in the spring offensive that it launched last week. Taliban have increased attacks across the country since spring began.
