8 members of Lashkar-e-Taiba awarded life imprisonment by local court in Jaipur

Eight members of terror organisation Lashkar-e-Taiba including three Pakistanis have been awarded life imprisonment by a local court in Jaipur. The Additional district and sessions court-Jaipur pronounced the judgment yesterday. The convicts were also awarded cash penalty. <br/><br/>The accused were arrested in 2010 and 2011 by the Anti-Terror Squad of Rajasthan. They were convicted under sections 13 (abetting unlawful activity), Section 18 (punishment for conspiracy), Section 18 (B) (recruiting for terror act) and Section 20 (punishment for being member of terrorist gang or organisation) of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act last week.<br/><br/>The Pakistani LeT members Asgar Ali, Shakkar Ulla and Shahid Iqbal were lodged in various jails in India and recruited Indians for various anti-national activities. <br/><br/>Other five are Babu alias Nishachand Ali, Hafiz Abdul, Pawan Puri, Arun Jain and Kabil.
