In Pakistan, 8 people were killed and 30 others injured in a bomb blast in a mosque at Nowshera today. The blast targeted the mosque inside Sufi shrine – Akhun Punjo Baba mazar in Akbarpura area of Nowshera, about 15 km from Peshawar. Scores of people were offering Friday prayers at the mosque while hundreds had gathered to take food from a 'langar' or community kitchen.Police said, eight worshippers, including some children, were killed. The condition of eight injured is said to serious. The injured have been taken to hospitals in Nowshera, Pubbi and Peshawar.A witness, told a TV News channel that the blast occurred just after the prayers ended. An estimated 1,000 people were present in the shrine. No group claimed responsibility for the blast.
