<br/>Eight persons were killed and 12 others injured in two separate road accidents involving collision between cars and trucks near Pune. Police said, four persons died on the spot and eight injured when the car in which they were travelling rammed into a sand-laden truck near Yavat on Pune-Solapur highway last night. The victims, hailing from the city, were on their way to temple town of Tuljapur when the mishap occurred. In another accident, a car collided with a truck at Wakad near here on Mumbai-Bangalore highway killing four of its occupants and injuring four others.<br/><br/> Two days earlier, a road mishap near Katraj tunnel on Pune-Satara section had claimed lives of ten people when their car ploughed into a container.
