At least eight people have been killed today in a series of large explosions in the centre of the Iraqi capital, Baghdad. Reports said that one blast took place near the Iraqi health ministry. Another is believed to have taken place on the same street near the oil ministry and the police academy. A third blast has reportedly killed several people in the Sunni area of Doura.
