At least eight people have been killed in heavy flooding in Haiti. The entire city of Les Cayes, the third biggest, has been inundated. The affected buildings included a hospital and a prison where more than 400 inmates have been evacuated. The floods have come several weeks ahead of Haiti's traditional rainy season. Witnesses said several homes have collapsed and people are fleeing to safer areas.
