8 killed, 18 others injured in attacks in central Iraq

At least eight people were killed and 18 others were wounded today in attacks in central Iraq. <br/><br/>According to Interior Ministry source, five family members were shot dead when gunmen stormed the house of a local Awakening Council group leader, in the town of Yousifiya, south of Baghdad. In the second incident, two policemen were killed and five civilians were injured in a roadside bomb explosion near a police patrol in the Palestine Street in the east of the city. <br/><br/>In another incident, a magnetic bomb stuck to a civilian truck detonated in the morning in the city of Fallujah. <br/><br/>In the eastern Diyala province, 13 people were wounded, three of them in critical condition, when a bomb hidden in front of a shop went off near dozens of protestors in the city of Khalis.
