In China, eight people were killed and 10 others injured after gas leaked from a pipeline at a steel mill in the southern province of Guangdong today. The Shaoguan city government said in a post on its microblog that the leak occurred at 3 a.m. local time at a plant in an Iron and Steel company. It said the rescue and recovery operation is underway and the cause is being investigated.
