Eight people drowned and one was missing after a boat carrying illegal immigrants from Afghanistan hit rocks in the eastern Aegean Sea. A spokesman for the Greek coast guard said seven men and one woman were among the dead. He said authorities were searching for a young boy who was missing, although he was feared dead. The incident happened this morning when the boat crashed on rocks as it approached the Greek island of Lesvos from nearby Turkey. Nineteen people were aboard and 10 were rescued without major injuries.<br/>
