In Assam, eight persons died and 21 others injured in a road mishap at Number one Golai, near Digboi, in Tinsukia district this afternoon. The incident occurred when a mini bus coming from Tinsukia had a head-on-collision with a coal-loaded truck on the National Highway number 37. Four persons died on the spot while four succumbed to their injuries in hospital. The condition of several injured is stated to be serious and they have been admitted to Assam Medical College Hospital in Dibrugarh.
