7th ODI: India set target of 384 for Australia

India are well placed to clinch the seven-match ODI series against Australia. In the series-deciding final encounter, now under way in Bangalore, chasing a huge victory target of 384 runs, the visitors were 317 for 8 in 42 overs, a short while ago. The series is locked 2-2 at present.Earlier, aided by opener Rohit Sharma's scintillating 209-run knock, India piled up a mammoth 383 for six in their 50 overs. Sharma became only the third batsman in the history of One-day cricket to score a double hundred. The earlier two doubles centuries have been scored by Indians. Sachin Tendulkar touched the milestone first time against South Africa in 2010 and then Virender Sehwag made 219 against the West Indies in Indore in 2011.
