Maharshtra is leading with 5 gold, 4 silver and 3 bronze in the medal tally in the seventh National youth athletics championship being held at the Nehru Stadium at Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu. Haryana is in the second position with 4 gold, 3 silver and 1 bronze and Tamil Nadu come up in the third position with 4 gold and 4 bronze. One National record was created in the meet. Arjun of Delhi set a New National cum Meet Record in the Discuss throw for boys event by throwing a distance of 64.09 meters. Arjun breaks the National and meet record of 59.62 meters created by Prabhjot Singh of Punjab in May 2009. Three meet records were also created in the meet.
