The 7th meeting of SAARC Interior Minister's Conference has started in Islamabad. Home Minister Rajnath Singh who is leading the Indian delegation said he is looking forward to underscore the imperative of meaningful cooperation within the region against terrorism and organised crime.<br/><br/>Home Minister Rajnath Singh, who is in Islamabad to participate in the SAARC ministerial conference, today along with his counterparts from the member countries called on Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. <br/><br/>Mr Singh was the part of the joint delegation of the Interior and Home Ministers of SAARC nations when they called on the Pakistani Prime Minister at his office. The meeting, a formal courtesy call, lasted for about 20 minutes during which only pleasantries were exchanged. <br/><br/>Sharif's meeting with a senior Indian functionary came amidst the ongoing strain in bilateral relations between India and Pakistan following the killing of a Hizbul Mujahedeen militant in Jammu and Kashmir last month.
