The 7th batch of Tamil delegation comprising 208 spiritual people from Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and adjoining places reached Varanasi on Friday night to take part in the month-long 'Kashi Tamil Sangamam' festival. They were accorded ceremonious welcome by local dignitaries at the Banaras railway station on their arrival by playing 'Damru' and showering of flowers petals.<br />''<br />''Delegation members offered prayers at the 'Kashi Vishwanath Dham' on Saturday morning. They also visited heritage sites and nearby markets in and around the temple area.<br />''<br />''The one-month-long event Kashi – Tamil Sangamam started on 17th of November with more than 1,400 delegates from Tamilnadu participating in the event at Varanasi.<br />
