<span style="color: #222222;">The Government has said 79.1 per cent of the rural habitations in the country have been provided with potable drinking water with the supply level of 40-litre per capita per day. In a written reply in the Lok Sabha today, Minister of State for Jal Shakti Prahlad Singh Patel said, as of 7th of this month, 13.46 lakh of the total 17.01 lakh villages have got the drinking water supply. He said, 3.18 lakh other villages have been provided with drinking water supply of less than 40 litres per capita per day.</span><br />
