75th Independence Day celebrated with enthusiasm & gaiety in Maoist affected areas of Chhattisgarh

In Maoist affected areas of Chhattisgarh, 75th Independence Day was celebrated with enthusiasm and gaiety yesterday. This Independence Day has been historic for many of these areas. AIR correspondent reports that after nearly 16 years, 14 schools located in remote villages of Bijapur district of Maoist-affected Bastar division of Chhattisgarh have reopened on the occasion of Independence day. The buildings of these schools were damaged by the Maoists over the years. Due to this, the education of many children was getting affected. The administration decided to reopen these schools in recent months with the help of villagers. There was a festive atmosphere in these villages when the schools started again. The children reached the school with the tricolor in their hands.<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #000000;">In another Maoist-affected district of Sukma, the Independence day brought new hopes to the people of remote Minpa village. They got electricity after nearly 16 years.  Maoists had damaged the road and power supply in this area. After the deployment of CRPF and other security forces, the administration got the roads constructed and power supply has been restored once again in Minpa village on Independence Day yesterday.</span><br />
